While some restaurants in Stillwater, OK, have closed amid the pandemic, there are still a few new ones that students and others who haven't been to town in a while will be pleasantly surprised to see a few new places.
The great thing is each one of the new offerings has unique and flavorful offerings, so there's something for every taste.
Firo is a wood-fired artisan pizza concept with customers creating their own pies or ordering from a menu filled with options like the Primo and Chicken Alfredo. The drizzle possibilities, which include BBQ, pesto, fig, balsamic reduction, olive oil, and honey habanero, really set these pizzas apart from others available in Stillwater.
If pizza isn't on your mind, you can grab a salad or Firo-Zinnis sandwiches. There's also a dessert option unlike anything else in Stillwater. The Banana Nutella Zinni is a pocket of pita bread filled with sliced bananas and Nutella topped with whipped topping.
Head to 405 S. Washington St. on The Strip to get a taste of Stillwater's newest sushi offering at Nooki. With more than two dozen rolls available, there is sushi to satisfy nearly every craving.
They also serve flavorful, colorful Poke bowls filled to the brim with amazing ingredients like sushi rice, spring mix, edamame, snap peas, avocado, and crab salad, in addition to the other proteins, salsa, and sauces you like. Build your own, or choose from a large list of specialty bowls.
For something unique to Nooki, check out their specialty fries as an appetizer or complement to your mean.
Also on The Strip, Pickleman's is at 321 S Washington St. This restaurant features a wide array of hot sandwiches, salads, and soups. Of course, they also have outstanding large pickles, as referenced in their name.
Pickleman's also has pizzas. To try a bit of more than one item, a Pick Two is a perfect choice. Don't forget their amazing chocolate chip cookies to complete your meal.
Ron's Hamburgers & Chili
Located at 811 E 6th Ave., Ron's serves huge burgers, flavorful chili, and Frito chili pies. For a great, old fashioned burger, Ron's fits the bill. Check out their cheese fries and boneless chunk chicken. Don't forget to grab a root beer float. Open for dine-in or take-out, would-be customers can also get delivery through Door Dash.
