Amid the coronavirus pandemic, several restaurants in Stillwater stepped up their games with takeout and curbside delivery. While not all the eateries have the option for contactless interactions, every location on this list takes careful precautions to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and allow patrons to enjoy their iconic food from the comfort of their own homes.
Local & Regional Restaurants
There are several places that can only be found in Stillwater or Oklahoma, and they offer a wide variety quisines. These are my favorite ones for takeout over the past several months.
Mexico Joes located at 311 E Hall of Fame Ave in Stillwater has great takeout. You can call to place your order, and they will take your payment over the phone. When you arrive, park in a designated spot, and call the To Go desk. They will bring your bag of food to your car along with a receipt to add a tip to and sign.
It isn't complete contactless, but the staff is masked and does a great job. You can't go wrong with the BBQ chicken fajitas or a warm bowl of tortilla soup. Don't forget to add an order of their homemade flour tortillas.
Golden Dragon at 203 S Perkins Rd in Sttillwater serves delicious Asian food. It is easy to order online or call. This restaurant is almost always crowded. When I did takeout there, I ordered and paid online, and then when it was ready, I went in a grabbed it. Overall it was a pretty easy situation.
The restaurant has a large menu, and I've never had anything I didn't like. The chicken fried rice portion is huge, and I usually save half for lunch the next day.
Located at 2223 W 6th Ave., Thai Loco is an absolutely amazing eatery that serves a Thai/Mexican fusion. It used to be a popular food truck, and eventually they got a permement location. Call on the phone to place your order, and then use their drive through window for easy pickup. It's minimal contact to pay, and the staff has consistently been masked.
They serve tasty poke bowls, interesting burritos, and several different tacos.

Place your orders online or at their drive through. They pickup window has plexiglass between the cashier and driver. This is one takeout experience to try as soon as possible.

Here are some chains that do a great job.
Chilis upped their takeout game when the pandemic hit. Their app even knows when you arrive, so you don't have to call if you want curbside delivery. However, if you don't use the app, you can order online and call when you arrive. The entire process can be contactless if you want. If not, you can go inside to pick up your order.
Another completely contactless opportunity is at Red Lobster. They have online ordering, or orders can be placed over the phone. When you arrive, park in a designated parking spot, and call or text that you've arrived.
For a delicious Italian meal, Olive Garden offers large portions and aa contactless experience. Order either with the app, online, or by phone. Park in a spot, and call to alert staff you have arrived, or go in to pick up from their To Go station.
