Five Best Christmas Light Displays In Stillwater, Oklahoma

While it might seem tempting to drive to other Oklahoma locations such as Chickasha or Rhema to enjoy the magic of Christmas lights, there are plenty of wonderful neighborhoods and locations to view them right in Stillwater without having to travel. You can enjoy a beautiful holiday outing without even leaving town. Grab a hot chocolate and some cookies from your favorite bakery and enjoy the sights and sounds of the holiday.

The Christmas Light House

Located at 323 S Grandview Ct. in Stillwater, The Christmas Light House offers a stunning display of lights set to music. The Facebook page for the house asks that visitors turn their headlights off when they park on the street to watch the show. Tune your car's radio to 88.1 FM to see the lights move along to a variety of traditional Christmas music and some patriotic songs as well.

A few homes nearby feature beautiful Christmas decorations that you can enjoy as you drive to or from The Christmas Light House.

Park View Estates

This well-established Stillwater neighborhood is known for its light displays and luminaries. Located at 4606 N. William Ct., the luminaries line the curb throughout the streets on Saturday and Sunday, December 19 and 20 this year.

Neighbors compete for awards in Best Inflatables, Best Religious, Best All-Around, Best Theme/Novelty, and more. This year, at least one cul de sac joined to include uplifting words of the season in large white print illuminated by spotlights to create a unique theme.

Park View Estates lights are on from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. each evening.

Fox Glen

Fox Glen is a newer neighborhood in Stillwater located on Western, between 32nd and 44th street west of town. There are two streets filled with homes decked out for the holidays. Check them out every evening, starting at dusk.

University Estates

Located off Lakeview Rd. between Boomer Rd. and Airport Rd. University Estates offers several streets of festive lights to look at. One gorgeous point of interest is how the lit homes reflect off the private lake in the center of this northwest Stillwater neighborhood.

Chris Salmon Plaza

Chris Salmon Plaza at 9th and Main Street in Downtown Stillwater sets a festive tone downtown with a light display in conjunction with large tree-shaped lights atop at 8th and Main Street.

The show is set to music that plays on 87.9 FM and lights downtown from 4th street through the roundabout at 10th street and all the way to 14th play along with the music broadcast on the channel. It boasts an astounding 85,000 lights. This merry and bright light and music display run through Sunday, January 10, from dusk until 11 p.m. On Saturdays, there are also free carriage rides from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Merry Main Street committee wanted the special event to give a feeling of hope to everyone who views it this year after a rough 2020.
