The state of Washington has a new program called the Working Families Tax Credit where individuals receive payments up to $1,200 when they meet certain eligibility requirements. For the most part, the Working Families Tax Credit program helps low-to-moderate income individuals and families. The amount of money you are eligible to get from the state mostly is dependent on your income level and the number of qualifying children you have.

What are the specific requirements for this program?

Well, the requirements are pretty straightforward. It is worth mentioning that you must apply to receive money in this program as well. Here are some questions that you'll see when you submit an application.

  • Did you live in Washington State at least 183 days by the end of 2022?
  • How many qualifying children will you claim for 2022?
  • How much money did you make during 2022?

If you are single and make $53,057 with 3 dependents, you can qualify for the payment of up to $1,200. If you are married and make up to 59,187 with 3 dependents you qualify for $1,200 as well. (source)

You can sign up here for a reminder for the application when this new program officially rolls out.
