A short time later the 4th alarm was transmitted followed by additional tankers and FAST teams.

Killingly, Conn. - At approximately 4:30 pm Tuesday, October 25th, the Dayville Fire Company was dispatched for a reported motor vehicle accident on Interstate 395 Northbound in the area of exit 41. While en route Quinebaug Valley Dispatch advised units that the occupant was entrapped with serious injuries. A KB ambulance was the first to arrive on the scene and verified the information given by the dispatcher, adding that they had a single-vehicle rollover accident in the middle of the Northbound lanes. A Lifestar medical helicopter was requested but was unavailable due to the weather.

At approximately 4:48 pm on Saturday, August 6th, the Quinebaug Valley Emergency Communications Center (QVEC) received reports of a large brush fire within the Quaddick State Park in the area of Baker Rd and Quaddick Town Farm Rd. When the first units arrived on the scene, they assessed there to be approximately 1.5 acres burning 2 miles into the woods with limited access to the location.

Dudley Mass. - Just before 10:30 pm on Sunday, July 3rd, South Worcester Communications Center (SWCC) received multiple calls reporting a structure fire at 37 Schofield Ave in the town of Dudley. The first unit to arrive reported heavy smoke and fire showing from the outside of the building and requested a working fire assignment, bringing in off-duty personnel as well as firefighters from surrounding towns. As firefighters attempted to search for occupants, that could possibly be trapped in the structure, they were met with unstable flooring on the second floor which hindered their search efforts. Firefighters made quick work of the fire on the outside of the building but the interior fire took over an hour to extinguish. The fire reached 2 alarms bringing in responders from both Massachusetts and Connecticut.

Medon, Mass. - Shortly after 3 pm on Friday, July 1st, emergency personnel were called to the Southwick Zoo for reports of 40 people trapped on the Skyfari Sky Ride, according to the MA District 7 Twitter page. The ride allows 2-3 people, per seat, to cruise approximately 25 ft above many of the park's wildlife exhibits. When the ride stopped many of these riders were suspended directly over zoo animals.
