Anime App Funimation Returns To New York Comic Con This Year 2021

This year NYCC 2021 will transport Funimation super fans to an anime fantasy.

Tuesday, September 14, 2021, the market leader bringing anime to audiences worldwide, will come to New York Comic-Con next month.

The attendees will escape to an anime sanctuary where some who follow anime and some who do not will belong. Funimation fans transport to Sakura Park, an experience of Japanese fantasy throughout the weekend is welcome to a branded food truck, search for hidden Easter Eggs, cosplay photoshoots, giveaways, photo ops behind cherry blossom trees, and more.

Chief Marketing Officer of Funimation Global Group Gita Rebbapragada says:

Funimation is excited to return to New York Comic-Con in what has been a monumental year for anime and the fan community. NYCC attendees and fans will truly feel welcomed and embraced into the world of anime with the activations and brand presence we have planned.

This year Funimation hosted panels including My Hero Academia, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba kick off its panel lineup with its Anime Lives Here: Funimation Panel, provide what is new in anime. English dub voice actors from My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission third film in the series release in theaters on October 29, and Demon Slayer-Kimtesu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train.

The event is free on a first-come and first-serve basis with limited capacity, and attendees must RSVP, be 21+ years of age, and show their NYCC badge, proof of Funimation subscription, and COVID-19 vaccination.

Thursday, October 7, 2021, Funimation will host a one-night Subscriber-only celebration of anime New York premier roof bar lounge, The Press Lounge.
