PrimeDrives - Part Two - Cruising around Savannah, Georgia

We traveled to Savannah, GA a historic town on US Highway 17 and Interstate 16. We drove down most of the historic district streets to give you a good tour of downtown and the tourist areas. Savannah is one of our favorite cities to visit and hope you enjoy the ride along with us! We drove past City Market, Forsyth Park, several of the city squares, down Oglethorpe Ave, Congress St, Liberty St, Bay St and parts of Broughton St that were open. Savannah is the oldest city in the state of Georgia. It was established in 1733 on the Savannah River and became the first state capital of Georgia. A strategic port city in the American Revolution and during the American Civil War, Savannah is today an industrial center and an important Atlantic seaport.
