The first weekend in March is the kick-off of spring for me. Just so happens the weather was warm this year! We have been wanting to camp at Valentine Lake in Kisatchie National Forest and we were not disappointed in this little gem of a campground. Now, don't think you'll be able to bring your 48-foot toyhauler and run the generator all weekend! The sites are small and I'm not sure but I believe there are either no generators allowed or special hours for them to run. But please bring your kayaks or paddleboards to enjoy the lake.
