Spartanburg, South Carolina - Classical Healing Keys presents a free concert highlighting mental health stories and challenging stigma around mental illness in partnership with the National Alliance on Mental Illness and Mental Health America of Spartanburg County,
The free concert will be held on Monday, March 6, 2023, at 7:00 PM EST at Converse University - Daniel Recital Hall in Blackman Music Building, 580 East Main Street Spartanburg, SC 29302
One in five Americans experience mental illness each year. Learn how to challenge the stigma through free music, local resources, and games!
Immerse yourself in performances by young professional musicians, visual art by Bailie, and browse information booths for resources that can support your mental health and your loved ones! All are welcome!
Partners include United Way of the Piedmont, Carolina Music Therapy, Converse University Wellness Center, Converse University Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy department, Spartanburg Behavioral Health Task Force, Live Healthy Spartanburg, Delta Omicron, Musicians Helping Others, NAMI Spartanburg, and MHA Spartanburg.

Classical Healing Keys will also be offering Concert Workshops which are a unique combination of music performance and extensive audience participation. Concert Workshops are immersed in wellness and music. Enjoy spoken word illustrated with musical images from the classical repertoire.
Classical Healing Keys Concert Workshops focus on:
- validating and regulating emotions
- stress-relief
- effectively supporting others
The concert-workshops are developed by musicians certified in foundational mental health knowledge and reviewed by mental health professionals.
