Hiking the Mobius Arch With Children

Our next destination is to the Mobius Arch, and even if you haven’t heard of Mobius Arch, you might have seen it in films. The area is called Alabama Hills and its where countless amount of cowboy movies was filmed. Some notable names would be Django Unchained, Star Trek and the Lone Ranger. To get to the Mobius Arch head west on Whitney Portal Road from Lone Pines, then turn right onto Movie Flat Road and go straight for 10 minutes. From the parking lot you will take a 1-mile loop hike called Arch Loop Trail. The mobius arch window is about 6 and a half feet high and if you get the angle just right you will see Mt. Whitney perfectly framed in the distance.
