Jefferson Parish, LA – Due to COVID-19 concerns, the Gretna Heritage Festival has been canceled. The city of Gretna, in collaboration with the Gretna Economic Development Association and the Gretna Heritage Festival, has decided to cancel this year's Gretna Heritage Festival and is presenting this event again on October 7 to October 9, 2022.
Gretna Heritage Festival, named one of the top 20 events in the Southeast by the Southeast Tourism Society, is held in the heart of Gretna, a historic district along the Mississippi River.
Previously, Jefferson Parish through its Jefferson Parish’s website invited any individuals to attend the Gretna Heritage Festival that will be held on October 22 – October 24, 2021. This three-day music festival featuring national artists and Louisiana favorites is presented to entire family members to enjoy rides, entertainment, arts and crafts, and also activities for children that are available. You can also visit the Italian Village, the German Beer Garden, and the Latino Village for a taste of culture, which includes Latin music, food, and fun.
The last Gretna Festival was held in September 2019 celebrating its 25th anniversary. It spans 25 city blocks and includes five stages with performances by national entertainers as well as some of Louisiana's best and most popular musicians.
The Gretna Heritage Festival is aimed to promote and support local businesses and organizations in Gretna, Louisiana. The fund resulted from the festival are donated to a variety of charitable organizations on a local, state, and national level.
