NEW ORLEANS, LA-- The New Orleans Saints have released their depth chart ahead of the 2021 NFL preseason. The 2021 Training Camp, presented by SeatGeek, starts on Friday, July 30, and will be the first of seven practices scheduled to be opened to the public.
Here's the 2021 New Orleans Saints roster depth chart, covering wide receivers and tight ends.
Kawaan Baker #14 - Wide receiver
Baker was picked by the Saints during the 2021 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-1 receiver is a reliable key performer for the Southern Alabama Jaguars, as he notched 126 receptions for 1,829 yards and 27 touchdowns during his collegiate career.
Marquez Callaway # 12 - Wide receiver
Callaway was an undrafted rookie out of Tennessee. He turned in a few decent games for the Saints during the 2020 campaign.
Lil'Jordan Humphrey #84 - Wide receiver
Humphrey, 24, enters his third season with the Saints. The former Texas Longhorn will compete for a roster spot in training camp after spending time in both active and practice rosters last season.
Juwan Johnson #83 - Wide receiver
After signing with New Orleans as an undrafted free agent following the 2020 NFL Draft, Johnson enters his second season with the Saints. The New Jersey native was moved to the active roster on Oct. 24 last season.
Jake Lampman #19 - Wide receiver
Lampman started his NFL career as an undrafted rookie with the Saints back in 2016, playing a few games for the special teams. Then, he moved to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before moved to XFL. This year, the Ferris State alumni will continue his New Orleans journey during the 2021 campaign after he resigned from the Saints.
Jalen McCleskey #17 - Wide receiver
The son of former Saints defensive back J.J McCleskey, he was initially signed by the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent in 2020 after a college career in Oklahoma State and Tulane. The New Orleans native accomplished incredibly as an Oklahoma State Cowboy, with 17 touchdowns on 167 receptions while racking 1,865 yards.
Tre'Quan Smith #10 - Wide receiver
The former UCF Knights player will be in his fourth season in New Orleans. Last season, he accumulated 4 receptions for 448 yards and four touchdowns.
He also recorded at least 50 receiving yards three times through the Saints' first six games in 2020 after reaching it once in 2019 and twice in 2018. Unfortunately, the 6-foot-2 wideout was forced to miss three regular-season games in 2020 due to injury.
Michael Thomas #13 - Wide receiver
The All-Pro wideout enters his sixth season with Saints. After being mocked as 'Slant Boy' by internet forum Reddit, the former Ohio State Buckeyes player looks to bounce back from an injury-riddled 2020 campaign. He missed the final three games of the regular season before returning for the NFC Wild Card showdown against the Chicago Bears.
Easop Winston #18 - Wide receiver
Winston enters his first season with the Saints. The 6-foot wideout spent the 2020 preseason with the Los Angeles Rams. Previously, he recorded 137 receptions for 1,624 yards with 19 touchdowns during his collegiate career with the Washington State Cougars.
Garrett Griffin #45 - Tight end
Griffin enters his fifth season with New Orleans after spending the first three on the practice squad. The former Air Force Academy cadet stayed on the club's active roster for the end of the past three seasons. While he was mainly used as a blocking tight end, Griffin had his first receiving touchdown in the NFC Championship game against the Rams back in 2018.
Dylan Soehner #89 - Tight end
Soehner joins the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Iowa State University before the 2021 season. A native of Prairie Grove, Ark., he played for the Iowa State Buckeyes from 2017-2020, recording a touchdown while 26 receptions for 312 yards. In his senior year, he was voted to Big 12 honorable mention selection by coaches; after recording 18 receptions for 204 yards.
Adam Trautman #82 - Tight end
Trautman enters his second season with the Saints in 2021. Last season, Trautman supplanted veterans Jared Cook and Josh Hill as he caught 15 passes for 171 yards, along with a touchdown. Now, he will partner with veteran Nick Vannett as the leading receiver from the position.
Nick Vannett #81 - Tight end
Vannett enters his first season with the Saints in 2021 after he was signed as a free agent. The five-year NFL veteran was initially drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft out of Ohio State while also playing for other franchises. This season, Vannett will supplant Thomas, his college teammate, as one of the Saints' leading receivers.
