SPRING PARK, MN - Many recreational options are available in the City of Spring Park for residents and those who come to visit. Thor Thompson Park, Wilkes Park, the Dakota Rail Regional Trail, a shore fishing platform, and a Hennepin County boat launch are just a few options. It also collaborates with surrounding municipalities to make the Gillespie Center in Mound open for all residents of Spring Park. Get to know them here!
1) Thor Thompson Park
There is something for everyone at Thor Thompson Park, the city's largest park. Thanks to a grant from Hennepin County, the baseball field and basketball court were recently renovated. Additionally, there are tennis courts and a small picnic area inside the park's boundaries.
2) Wilkes Park
Located on Channel Road is Wilkes Park, a tiny neighborhood park. A small playground, community garden, open green space, and a big rain garden can be found in the park and a small playground. 3) Dakota Rail Regional Trail
Located between St. Bonifacius and Wayzata, Minnesota, the Dakota Rail Regional Trail stretches 13 miles. Spring Park is about a mile long, and it connects the community to Mound to the west and Orono to the east via Spring Park. Parking for the path is provided at the municipal hall. A bike rack and picnic table are also offered at the city hall entry point for trail users.
4) Gillespie Center
Spring Park residents could take advantage of various health and wellness activities at the Gillespie Center in Spring Park.

To access the Coffee Cove Fishing Platform, drive to Shadywood Road (County Road 19) and Sunset Drive (County Rd 51)
