MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Capella University is an online higher education institution serving working adults. Now, it is expanding its signature FlexPath competency-based, a direct assessment learning format to include a Doctor of Business Administration or DBA.
The DBA in FlexPath format will round out a full portfolio of business degrees, including a bachelor’s and master’s in business administration.
This new pathway comes one year after the launch of Capella’s Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in the FlexPath format.
“The DBA in the FlexPath format is a testament to Capella’s dedication to making higher education fit the schedules of our busy working students in an accessible and affordable way, and we are thrilled to be able to offer it to our students,” said Dr. Todd Wilson, Dean, School of Business, Technology, and Health Care Administration.
The DBA program in the FlexPath format will focus on scholar-practitioner and technology-driven. Students will develop a professional brand to assist them with their economic, career and personal goals.
Graduates complete a capstone project, demonstrating their high level of expertise, confidence and strategic thinking to drive progress and change within a specific business or industry.
Through the self-paced FlexPath format — which has more than 10,000 graduates — students can personalize their learning by customizing a schedule to best fit their busy lives.
The faculty-designed program is created in consultation with industry leaders and employers that ensure that business and education professionals gain relevant skills needed to stand out in the workplace.
