Two hours of intense bull riding competition to come to FedExForum

The Professional Bull Riders bring the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour to FedExForum Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. The PBR Bluff City Classic, as the event is called, will be the first touring event at the arena since the COVID pandemic shutdown in March 2020.

Professional Bull Riders (PBR) is the world's top sanctioning association for the original extreme sport, bull riding. It sponsors tours around the world with 700 riders competing to be the best. Professional Bull Riders events are not rodeos. They are two hours of intense, hard hitting bull riding action. The bulls are considered athletes and are ranked just as the riders are.

The Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour, an expansion tour for PBR, started in 2014. The tour packed the arena in February 2020 as Brazil's Fabiano Vieria survived two rounds to win the 2020 PBR Bluff City Classic championship. The win catapulted Vieria into PBR's Top 10 rankings, earned him thousands of dollars, and also earned him points toward the PBR World Championship. Wallace Vieria took second in the 2020 Bluff City Classic, with Marco Eguchi rounding out the top three.

PBR's Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour culminates with its finals in Las Vegas. The winner in Vegas receives an automatic bid to the PBR World Finals.

Elite Experiences

Fans who want to have the ultimate night out at the PBR Bluff City Classic can purchase an Elite Experience. For a $50 add-on to the ticket price, you get access to a Q & A session with top bull riding talent. Following the event you get a photo in the arena. You also get commemorative cred and lanyard.

FedExForum information

There will be designated lines for express entry into the arena for those who do not bring in a bag. All bags brought in will be subject to search. X-ray machines will be used for contactless screening that takes the place of manual searching of bags.

No bags larger than 14 inches by 14 inches by 6 inches are allowed in the arena. There will be an additional screening of wristlets and clutch purses carried in.

Contactless transactions have been implemented at arena concession stands. This makes it possible for guests to scan their own cards or use Google Pay or Apple Pay.

Television coverage

The PBR Bluff City classic will be broadcast on RidePass, Pluto TV's all-access pass to the world of Western sports. Pluto TV is completely free, no passwords, no payments, and lets you enjoy all the action of the Professional Bull Riders Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour. You can stream RidePass content in a web browser, on apps for iOS and for Android, and through a variety of streaming devices and most smart TVs.
