Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp Return Home to Host Nashville

The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, Triple-A baseball affiliate of the Miami Marlins, return home to 121 Financial Ballpark this week. They will play six games against the Nashville Sounds, the Triple-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers.

Tuesday, July 20: The Jumbo Shrimp will partner with the Jewish Community Alliance to celebrate Hanukkah in July. Although jumbo shrimp are not kosher, they plan an inclusive celebration with the community.

Use your Community First Credit Union credit or debit card to get 2-for-1 tickets.

Tuesday is also Dog Day at 121 Financial Ballpark, presented by Forever Vets Animal Hospital. The pups get in free provided their owners buy a ticket. There will be dog-friendly seating in the Wheelhouse Lounge, Haskell Suite Level, and section 119. Please bring your own bowl to keep your dog hydrated. The first pitch will be at 7:05 p.m.

Wednesday, July 21: There will be a Yuengling Business Person special ticket offer for this afternoon matinee - the ticket includes a 16 oz. can of Yuengling (or a small soft drink) and a jumbo hot dog.

Also, Vystar Credit Union and HabiJax will celebrate Charity Begins at Home. Vystar Credit Union members will be eligible for a buy one, get one deal on tickets by showing their credit or debit card. The first pitch will be at 12:05 p.m.

Thursday, July 22: Thursday is Military Appreciation Night. Let active military personnel know you're thinking about them by contributing a greeting card to the Jumbo Shrimp Drive Results Series. Everyone who participates in all Drive Results Series events this year will be eligible to throw out a first pitch at a later date.

Active military members and veterans can pick up a free ticket at the box office, subject to availability.

Thursday will also be Thirsty Thursday, presented by Budweiser. Throughout the ballpark, there will be two-dollar 12 oz. Budweiser products and three-dollar 24 oz. Budweiser products. DJ Swagg and DJ MoneyGud will perform in the Tiki Terrace. The first pitch will be at 7:05 p.m.

Friday, July 23: Friday Night Lites will offer beer specials, presented by Miller Lite. From 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. you can find two-dollar 12 oz. Miller Lites in the Brown Canopy in left field, as well as one dollar off all other craft beers.

The Jumbo Shrimp will wear red on Friday night to support our military, and they invite you to show your support by wearing red too. Fans who wear red will receive $1 off a ticket at the box office. Fans who wear red also have the option of donating $1 to charity.

Following the game, stick around for a fireworks display in the sky above 121 Financial Ballpark. The first pitch will be at 7:05 p.m.

Saturday, July 24: Red Caps Negro Leagues Night will offer fans a chance to learn about the rich history of these leagues, and the first 2000 will receive Red Caps fedoras, courtesy of Florida Blue and VyStar Credit Union.

Saturday will also be HBCU Night, recognizing HBCUs throughout the night with group rates available. The first pitch will be at 6:35 p.m.

Sunday, July 25: This will be Hairy (note the spelling) Potter Night. Enter the game at platform 9 3/4 for a special evening of wizarding and spells. Presented by Ollivander's Wand Shop.

Sunday will also be Baptist Health Sunday Family FUNday. Kids can enjoy face painting and balloon animals and they can run the bases after the game. The first pitch will be at 6:35 p.m.

About 121 Financial Ballpark

The park is located at 301 A. Philip Randolph Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32202.

There is no on-site parking for the ballpark but parking is available at many lots and garages nearby.
