A modest number of art lovers entered the winery as the event began but their number soon increased as the afternoon went on. The conversations enlivened the event as they were scented with laughter and good feelings.

In the sunshine of a smile, an early evening Art-In happened at The Antoine Dutot Museum and Gallery in Delaware Water Gap, PA who held a Retro LOVE and PEACE Exhibition presented by Jill and Jack Swersie on Saturday May 21st. The eternal youth found in the age of Aquarius took root and flourished in the cosmic awareness of the hippian art lovers whose ever expansive numbers grew as the evening went on. The music provided for by Roy Ramos guided the joyfulness of the event as attendees grooved through the gallery’s parking lot to partake of the physical and spiritual food that was joyfully shared.

The festival gathers cinematic works from the finest filmmakers throughout the world and provides awards for those who they deem the best of the outstanding achievements they experience. Categories for these awards include The Edison Innovation Award (EIA), The Jury’s Stellar Award, The Jury’s Choice Award, The Global Insights Award,The ADA Award, The Jury’s Citation Award, The Director’s Choice Award, and Awards for Honorable Mentions.

The dark clouds emptied its participation upon the streets of Stroudsburg, PA on Saturday May 7th and all who traveled along the sidewalks that lined them. Yet, a sensation of sunshine glowed from within each individual who traversed from one creative destination of the town’s monthly artwalk to another. This sensation became even more brilliant as one crossed the thresholds of each gallery to discover the warmth of camaraderie that is often encountered during the monthly event regardless of the meteorological conditions of the day.

The Antoine Dutot Museum and Gallery in Delaware Water Gap, PA opened their doors for an Artists’ Reception on Friday May 6th to showcase two collections of works that were recently donated to the venue by the family of Rev. Karen E. Nickels who had served as the pastor of the Presbyterian Church of the Mountain in Delaware Water Gap. PA from January 1988 until her retirement in March 2011 and by Richard Hawkins. Works included in the collections were by Beverly Abel, David Coulter, Hilda Espy, Gary Kresge, Dona Solliday, Olaf Sigourssen, JJ Travis, Will Rothfuss, and Georges Wenger.

A gargantuan gathering of art lovers and musical theater affectionados assembled at TheTerraview facility that is located on the grounds of The Stroudsmoor Country Inn in Stroudsburg, PA on Sunday May 1st to experience the wonders of the Broadway Stroudsmoor event that was presented by The Pocono Center for the Arts as part of their Mainstage Concert Series. The luxurious atmosphere the venue created enhanced the enjoyability of the event as chairs began to fill with the anticipation of those who entered the space. Local dignitaries mingled with the growing crowd as they shared their excitement for what was to come while voicing their support for The Pocono Center for the Arts and the programs they provide to the public and their endeavors to establish a permanent structure so they can do even more for the local artistic community.

Among the storefronts and eateries along the Main Street of Bethlehem, PA, there lies The Bethlehem House Contemporary Art Gallery whose exterior is actually a storefront but that illusion is quickly washed away once one crosses its welcoming thresholds. Each individually styled room processed a home like quality that was defined by its delightfully mind bending uniqueness as paintings and sculptures populated the abode. The mesmeric sounds of Jazz echoed throughout the gallery as the multitude of art lovers explored the gallery’s offerings while chatting with the artists and one another during the venue’s 2022 Spring Show’s Artists’ Reception on Friday April 29th.

A rain that chilled the bone touched the Northeast Pennsylvania region known as the Poconos during the evening hours of Monday April 18th. It was a dark contrast to the warm, seasonal weather the area enjoyed during the initial weeks of the Spring Equinox. However, the meteorological conditions of the night did not dissuade the large number of people who came to The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort in Shawnee on the Delaware, PA to demonstrate their support for the Ukrainian people who are suffering from the invasion of their country by Russia.

The power of cheese permeated throughout the town of Stroudsburg, PA as The Pocono Arts Council held their Annual Mac and Cheese Bake-off at The Renegade Winery on Sunday April 10th. Multitudes who love the comfort food filled the venue to near capacity while professional and amature chefs set up their trays and burners in order to share their unique recipes with the mouth watered diners. The crowd eventually spied the welcomed sight that they almost patiently awaited of Jessica Delfino whose morning show on Pocono 96.7 FM titled, “The Mom Report” took the stage to greet them and begin the feast as she sang a song dedicated to Mac and Cheese that she composed.

The Russo-Ukrainian War began in February 2014 following the Ukrainian Revolution of Dignity. Russia staged a full scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24th, 2022. Internationally considered an act of aggression, the invasion has triggered Europe's largest refugee crisis since World War II with more than 4.1 million Ukrainians leaving the country and a quarter of the population displaced. The Andrei Art Gallery/Studio-Museum in Stroudsburg, PA joined with the worldwide support of the Ukrainian people in light of the conflict and the atrocities taking place in that country.

The exhibition showcased the work of artists who are under the age of 40. 28 pieces were presented reflecting the youthful maturity that is sometimes associated with that epochical existence.

The Andrea’s Gallery which is located within the Renegade Winery in Stroudsburg, PA held an Artists’ Reception for their Five Artists Exhibition featuring the works of Jim Chesnick, Jim Wyckoff, Tess Carbone DeLuise, Heidi Hooper, and Andrea Robbins Rimberg on Sunday March 20th. A sizable number of individuals gathered in the venue with many coming from the Annual St Patrick’s Day Parade that was taking place in the town during the event. The talents of each individual artist proved to be exceptional demonstrations of various creative techniques. Yet, the images presented by each artist blended wonderfully with the other works that were presented. The Exhibition will continue to be on display until August 15th.

On the first notable day of Spring of 2022, The Create and Be Studio in Stroudsburg, PA held an Artists’ Reception for their 3rd annual Black Culture In The Burg Art Exhibition on Friday March 18th to Celebrate Black Art, Creativity, and Black Culture In The Pocono region of Northeast PA. The exhibition featured the work of Stephanie Orellana, Donte Stokes, Albert Shivers, Caren Shapiro, Tyronn Brewington, Ivy Fox, Marcus Natt, Sylvia Thompson, and Courtney Natt. A television monitor that presented the artists was placed near the gallery’s entrance as they voiced their views on the exhibition's theme. The evening also included a screening of the film titled, “RED” that was Written and Directed by Tyronn Brewington.

It’s sturdy and steep sidewalks are aligned with shops of unique and unusual items whose overall antiquated flavor is reminiscent of times that have gone by the wayside years ago while a sense of the modernity of revivalism is felt as the fascinating articles are explored by all who visit these quaint emporiums.

They include The Clear Run Elementary Center, East Stroudsburg North, The Evergreen Community School, The JT Lambert Intermediate School, Smithfield Elementary, The East Stroudsburg Area Cyber Academy, Notre Dame High School, Pocono Mountain East and West, The Swiftwater Elementary Center and Intermediate School, and The Stroudsburg High School along with area students who are homeschooled. An artists’ reception was held on Saturday February 19th in which a multitude of parents, friends, relatives, and art lovers gathered in the Pocono Arts Council’s Community Arts Gallery in Stroudsburg, PA.

In nearly every good film, great film, meaningful film, there is a moment that transcends the film’s plot, cinematography, and acting that makes it “A FILM.” It is within this moment when a cinematic presence is felt by the viewer that enhances the experience of being a part of the audience. For instance, while there are many cinematic elements to Steven Spielberg’s film “Jaws” that make it a Masterpiece, there is one scene in which Quint (Robert Shaw) shares his experience of the sinking of SS Indianapolis to his shipmates, Chief Martin Brody (Roy Scheider) and Matt Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss), that adds a dimension to the film that involves the audience more deeply with all that came before the scene and all that will come after it. The film titled, “Life After You” has such a transcending moment.

The announcement took place in the upper level of The Sarah Street Grill in Stroudsburg, PA on Tuesday February 8th. Numerous friends, colleagues, and members of the press were there to experience the event and to learn of Ms. Probst’s political platform.
