The Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá ( Spanish: Catedral de Sal de Zipaquirá) is an underground Roman Catholic church built within the tunnels of a salt mine 200 metres (660 ft) underground in a halite mountain near the city of Zipaquirá, in Cundinamarca. It is one of a kind in this world and a must-visit in Colombia.

Salt Cathedral

Hola Colombia! Welcome to the second part of my adventure in this three-part series.  We went to Lake Guatavita before our visit to the Salt Cathedral. Rumor has it that El Dorado was here aka the land of gold. It was a strenuous hike to the top, with not much to see and no remnants of gold LOL. Plus you can't swim at the lake either. Not recommended.

Roadtrip to Pittsburgh!

Welcome to my final Costa Rican adventure! As a Starbucks lover, I was so excited to visit Hacienda Alsacia near San Jose, Costa Rica. The one and the only Starbucks coffee farm in the world. Located on the slopes of the Poás Volcano in Costa Rica, the 240 hectare farm has become Starbucks global agronomy headquarters. I got to learn about coffee making and did coffee tasting of course. A must-visit here in Costa Rica!

We ended the day at the Paradise Hot Springs with the volcano in the background! Loving Costa Rica already!
