Decatur Arts Festival

Event Dates: May 6, 2022 through May 8, 2022

This annual arts festival kicks off Friday night with ArtWalk, where you can enjoy music on the square while you stroll between local businesses hosting free art receptions. On Saturday and Sunday, you can explore the Artists Market with 140 artists from all over the Southeast. There will be live music, comedy and theatre performances, dance presentations, chalk art, and food vendors. The festival is free to attend.

Event Date: May 7, 2022 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.

For its 3rd year, this rosé-themed picnic-style celebration at Historic Fourth Ward Park is the perfect way to spend Mother's Day weekend. Enjoy a day filled with high fashion, Instagram-worthy VIP experiences, photo installations, culinary offerings, and performances from Robin Thicke, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Rotimi, and various local artists. Tickets start at $85.

Sweet Auburn Springfest Festival

Event Dates: May 7, 2022 through May 8, 2022

The Sweet Auburn Springfest is the largest free outdoor festival in the Southeast. This spring festival in Atlanta’s historic Sweet Auburn District offers a mix of live music, food, and family-friendly fun. The mile-and-a-half avenue will be lined with 10 stages and dozens of vendors selling art, jewelry, fashion, and more. Children can enjoy rides and games in the Fantastic Fun Zone. You can discover new artists playing on the numerous stages. And you’ll get the chance to explore the historic district rich in African American history.

Roswell Spring Arts and Crafts Festival

Event Dates: May 7, 2022 through May 8, 2022

During the Roswell Spring Arts and Crafts Festival, more than 125 painters, photographers, sculptors, leather and metal craftspeople, glass blowers, and jewelers come together to sell their creations. There will be artist demonstrations plus live acoustic music from local artists.

Suwanee Arts Festival

Event Date: May 14, 2022 through May 15, 2022

This two-day celebration at Suwanee Town Centre features talented artists who will market a variety of high-quality art, from painting and ceramics to jewelry and glass works. The festival will feature live artist demonstrations, live entertainment, an Animation Academy and scavenger hunt for kids, and local food and beverage vendors.

Chastain Park Spring Arts & Crafts Festival

Event Dates: May 14, 2022 through May 15, 2022

The 13th annual Chastain Park Spring Arts & Crafts Festival welcomes approximately 175 artists and artisans. Shop fine arts and crafts, let the kids play in the children's area, and dine on local food and beverage concessions from gourmet food trucks. There will be live acoustical performances from local musicians. The festival is free to attend.

Taste of Douglassville Festival

Event Date: May 21, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This annual restaurant and business showcase event is the community's most popular event of the year. Celebrate the coming of summer with this festival featuring handmade arts and crafts vendors, better living vendors, community booths, live performances, and a free children's entertainment area.

Gwinnett Hot Air Balloon Festival

Event Dates: May 28, 2022 through May 30, 2022

Head to the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds for tethered hot air balloon rides, live entertainment, food vendors, a balloon glow, a laser show, and fireworks. Admission to the Gwinnett Hot Air Balloon Festival ranges from $8-$20.

Atlanta Jazz Festival

Event Dates: May 28, 2022 through May 30, 2022

Attend one of the country's largest free jazz festivals. This annual musical showcase celebrates jazz legends and up-and-coming artists in venues across Atlanta during the whole month of May. The festival culminates on Memorial Day Weekend with show-stopping performances in Piedmont Park.
