Dragon Con

Event Dates: September 2, 2021 through September 6, 2021

Taking place in Atlanta every Labor Day Weekend, Dragon Con is the largest multi-media, pop culture convention in the world, focusing on science fiction, fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art, music, and film. The convention will feature contests, workshops, gaming, a parade, an art show, comic and pop artists, and more.

Sky High Hot Air Balloon Festival

Event Dates: September 3, 2021 through September 5, 2021

This Callaway Gardens celebration features three days of all-day garden access, beach access, food and drink specials, and more. The gardens will transform each night with the Hot Air Balloon Glow where balloons will illuminate the beach and culminate in a fireworks show.

TinyCON® Hosted by Children’s Museum of Atlanta

“Turtle Odyssey” at Fernbank Museum

“Turtle Odyssey” is the newest giant screen film playing at the Fernbank Museum of Natural History. The story follows Bunji, an Australian green sea turtle, as she treks across the open ocean. You will experience the ocean through the eyes of a turtle as you follow the life cycle of a green sea turtle from birth to laying eggs of her own.
