Atlanta Jazz Festival’s Virtual Jazz Series

Event Dates: every Tuesday until August 31, 2021 at 7:30 p.m.

The Atlanta Jazz Festival looks a little different this year. The Virtual Jazz Series features exclusive weekly interviews with renowned jazz artists. Jazz aficionados can take part in intimate conversations hosted by local musicians, radio personalities, and scholars who will explore each artist’s backgrounds, inspirations, and role within jazz’s rich history.

Fantastic Fourth Celebration at Stone Mountain Park

Event Dates: July 1, 2021 through July 5, 2021

The Fantastic Fourth Celebration at Memorial Lawn at Stone Mountain Park features a special fireworks display following the Lasershow Spectacular every night from July 1-5. Enjoy a full day of family fun with attractions and live entertainment during the day before the show.

AJC Peachtree Road Race

Event Dates: July 3, 2021 through July 4, 2021

The AJC Peachtree Road Race will return to the Fourth of July weekend this year for the 52nd annual edition of the 10 kilometer race. The race is planned for two days this year. Runners and walkers around the world can also participate in the race virtually.

“Summer in the City” Art Exhibition

Event Dates: July 10, 2021 through August 1, 2021

This summer, Cat Eye Creative Art Gallery is exhibiting their strongest line up of artists to celebrate the "Summer in the City" Group Exhibition. The exhibition will feature over 50 of Atlanta’s hottest artists on display at the gallery space in South Downtown.

Southern-Fried Gaming Expo

Event Dates: July 11, 2021 through July 13, 2021

This three-day fan convention is focused exclusively on gaming, including arcade games, pinball machines, console systems, tabletop gaming, and RPGs. The Southern-Fried Gaming Expo is Georgia’s largest arcade. The family-friendly event will be held at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel and Cobb Galleria Convention Center and will feature vendors, special guest speakers, wrestling, an 80s prom, tournaments, and more.

Picnic for Piedmont Park

Event Date: July 14, 2021 from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The Piedmont Park Conservancy is holding the Picnic for Piedmont Park event as the perfect way to spend a warm summer evening in Atlanta’s most popular green space. You’ll be surrounded by great views and entertainment. Your ticket purchase includes a custom insulated picnic basket, catered food, special cocktails, and entertainment. Proceeds will go to funding critical Piedmont Park Conservancy endeavors like trash clean ups, public restroom upkeep, planting trees, park beautification, landscaping, and more.
