When it comes to college, trying to get the best and brightest students has never been harder. Entire marketing campaigns are placed with hopes of getting students who will be dedicated to changing the world---or at least, give a school a good reputation.
Modern students care about being in a college where they feel accepted. That's why many Texan college admissions groups are upset to hear that a new swath of anti-LGBT laws caused them to lose LGBTQ-Friendly status.
The Campus Pride Index is one of the largest gay rights for colleges in America. Unfortunately, they just dropped both the University of Texas Dallas and Texas Tech from their list of the most gay-friendly colleges in America.
It's not the fault of the colleges. It's just that the laws have made them very inhospitable to people who are LGBTQIA+. Needless to say, these colleges will likely see a drop in applications sooner rather than later.
