What is the Woolite Laundry Detergent Settlement About?

A $3.275 Million Class Action Lawsuit has been settled with Woolite over some of their laundry detergent products. The multi-million dollar settled class action lawsuit contends that the parent company of Woolite, Reckitt Benckiser LLC, a British multinational consumer products conglomerate, misrepresented their "Color Renew" laundry detergent [1] [2].

The class action lawsuit claims that the Woolite laundry detergent does not renew or restore colors in clothing that was cleaned using this specific Woolite laundry detergent. The settled detergent class action aims to pay back consumers for the claimed difference between the advertised value and the supposed real value of the products.

How Do I Qualify?

You may qualify for the Woolite "Color" Renew laundry detergent open class action if you purchased certain Woolite detergents for your own personal use, and not for resale in the United States. You will not need proof of purchase for up to 3 products claimed. If you claim more than 3 relevant Woolite laundry detergents, you will need to provide evidence of purchase in a legitimate form when you file a claim form. To qualify you must have purchased the Woolite detergent products in New York City. Products that qualify have to include phrasing such as a label that says “Color Renew” or "Revives Colors."

How Much Can I Get Paid for the Woolite Laundry Detergent Settlement?

The total settlement amount is $3,275,000. If you file a valid claim, and do not have proof of purchase, the class action will pay for up to 3 products that are covered (see list above for covered sprays) at an estimated $5.00 per product, for a total of $15.00 per claim per household. If you claim more than 3 products in your claim form, you will need to provide proof of purchase in order to qualify for a full payout, also at an estimated $5.00 payout per qualified woolite laundry detergent product.

How Do I File a Claim?

To be eligible to receive a payment from the $3,275,000 Woolite Class Action Settlement, you must complete a class action Claim Form by December 19, 2023 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time. New York residents, along with California and Massachussets residents can qualify for a payment from this Open Class Action.
