The Arizona Cardinals have been looking to fill their vacant head coach role, and there are loud rumblings of a key reason why it is taking so long to fill.

The name that everyone brings up when discussing the issues with the team filling the coaching spot is quarterback Kyler Murray.

Pro Football Network is reporting that “many of the desired candidates don’t want to take the job knowing they’ll be tied to the hip of Murray for the next four seasons.”

The superstar quarterback who has not lived up to potential by the standards of many signed a brand new five-year deal worth $230 million in August, so a brand new head coach will likely be stuck with him for several more seasons, and will not be able to easily make a change at the most important position on the field.

The reporting is that this is one of the top storylines as the NFL world descends upon Mobile, Alabama, where this year’s Senior Bowl week is held.

So now we have to wait additional time to see who agrees to come to a team and work with Murray, and who the team will ultimately decide to go with for the head coaching position.

Who do you want to see take over control of the team? And what do you think the future holds for their star quarterback?
