The New England Patriots are currently set up well with two young quarterbacks, Mac Jones and Bailey Zappe, who both have winning records as starting quarterbacks during their short tenure in the league.
However, prior to Mac Jones, and prior to Cam Newton, the New England Patriots had the greatest quarterback of all time in Tom Brady.
45-year-old Tom Brady announced his retirement from the NFL officially yesterday, stating that he was retiring "for good".
However, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft has since stated "We will do everything in our power to bring him back and have him sign off as a Patriot."
Robert Kraft is looking to have superstar and future first-ballot Hall of Fame quarterback, Tom Brady, sign a one-day contract in an effort to retire as a member of the New England Patriots.
Tom Brady spent the first 20 years of his storied career with the New England Patriots after being drafted by the team in the 6th round with pick 199 in the 2000 NFL Draft. Setting countless records with the franchise and in the NFL, Tom Brady also took the New England Patriots to 9 Super Bowl appearances as well as 6 Super Bowl titles.
As quarterback for the New England Patriots, Tom Brady had a record of 219-64 over his 20 years with the team.
He left to sign with Tampa Bay in 2020, where he led the team to a Super Bowl title in his first season with the squad, which was the seventh ring of his career.
He remained with Tampa through this season, spending three seasons with the squad, before he has officially announced his retirement.
Brady will almost certainly have his number retired and a statue created by the New England Patriots, but they will also try to bring him back for one last day.
