Just days before the 2023 Super Bowl, one of the star players that is set to take the field for the game has been arrested on absolutely shocking charges.
Offensive Lineman Josh Sills, who is in his rookie season for the Philadelphia Eagles, will be in court on February 16 in relation to claims that are so shocking and vile that we recommend you read for yourself here.
It would not be surprising for the Eagles to elect not to have Sills on their roster following such claims, but the team has yet to make an official announcement or statement since word of the arrest came out on Wednesday morning.
The claims have been being investigated since 2019, and only just now led to charges.
Sills was signed as an undrafted free agent by Philadelphia following the 2022 draft. He ended up making the team and even saw time in a game against the Arizona Cardinals.
The allegations are out of Ohio, where he is from. After high school, Sills attended West Virginia University, as well as Oklahoma State University. As a college player, he was a two-time First-team All-Big 12, and a one-time second-team all-big 12.
Size has been used to his advantage on the football field, as he is listed at 6 foot 6 and 325 pounds.
With these new claims, we may never see Sills play on a football field again.
