The 7-3 New York Giants have been impressing this season, however, their team just took a huge injury blow.
According to New York Giants beat writer Art Stapleton, first-year head coach Brian Daboll announced that rookie wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson suffered a torn ACL in the team's 31-18 loss to the Detroit Lions.
Wan'Dale Robinson is a rookie receiver taken in the 2nd round of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Kentucky. Suffering an injury during the first game of the season, Robinson did not return to play until week 6. Since then it looked like the New York Giants may have been finding a potential answer to their receiver problem.
During the game against the Detroit Lions, Robinson looked to start to break out for the team. Prior to the injury, Robinson had 13 targets for 9 receptions and 100 yards. It was a welcome sight for a team that has had lots of receiver struggles this season. This season the New York Giants previously lost receiver Sterling Shepherd to injury as well as traded away injury-riddled 2nd-year receiver Kadarius Toney to the Kansas City Chiefs.
The New York Giants are now left with Darius Slayton atop their wide receiver depth chart alongside underwhelming big-signing receiver Kenny Golladay. At 7-3 with little receiver help, maybe a reunion with free agent Odell Beckham Jr is in the cards?
