OAKLAND - Police are asking for help tonight looking for a missing Pontiac man who ran out of the hospital with nothing but his gown and a blanket.

Shortly before 11 pm on Sunday, January 29th, a 37-year-old man by the name of Jacob Vincent-Perez Longoria walked out of McLaren Oakland Hospital with only a blanket and his hospital gown.
Staff at the hospital say the man was able to get away during their shift change, which made it easy for him to run out the door. Hospital security officers told law enforcement that Longoria left the hospital on foot and ran down Huron Street.

For those unfamiliar with the area, McLaren Oakland Hospital is located in downtown Pontiac, right at the intersection of Huron Street and Mill Street.

Several eyewitnesses did report seeing a man that matched Jacob’s description in the area of Perry and Fairgrove streets about 40 minutes after he went missing. This is less than half a mile northeast of the hospital. Shortly after he was spotted, he went missing again.

Police then searched the area using canine units and drones but were unable to locate the man. It’s unclear at this time exactly what he is wanted for, but Longoria is a wanted man and police are actively searching to put him back in police custody.

Jacob Longoria is 5-feet 7-inches tall and weighs around 150 pounds. If anyone knows anything about his whereabouts, they are encouraged to call 911 immediately. Do not engage with him, just call the police.
