On May 22, 2023, Deputy Derkin began investigating fraudulent charges of over $8,000 from a Muskingum Township resident's bank account. Deputy Harlow completed a private property accident report for Maria Fisher, whose vehicle struck a parked vehicle in Beverly, OH. Deputy Derkin also began investigating the use of a Job and Family Services card by someone other than the intended recipient. On the same day, Sgt. Stillson was dispatched to Waterford Township regarding prescription medication being taken and destroyed. The following day, Sgt. Stillson responded to a report of a subject doing donuts in a parking lot in Muskingum Township, and issued a citation to David Benjamin Goldberg for willful or wanton disregard of the safety of persons or property.

On May 24, Deputy Peters conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with fictitious registration, and discovered that the driver, Jassandra C Johnston, was operating the vehicle on a suspended license. Johnston was arrested for probation violation and transported to the Washington County Jail. Deputy Eichhorn observed a traffic violation and issued a citation to Tabib DJ Broomfield for driving without a valid license. Later that day, Deputy Davis observed a male subject riding a bicycle without illumination, identified him as Chad M. Wilson, and discovered that Wilson had active warrants out of Belpre P.D. A search of Wilson's pocket revealed a small plastic baggie containing a white powdery substance consistent with Fentanyl. Wilson was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and transported to the Washington County Jail.

Also on May 24, Deputy Peters encountered Roxianne Drennen during stationary patrol and discovered suspected Fentanyl wrapped in foil where Drennen was sitting in the vehicle. Drennen was arrested and charged with possession of drugs, and transported to the Washington County Jail. Currently, there are 26 women and 91 men being housed in the Washington County Jail.
