Pittsburgh Penguins Sold to Fenway Sports Group Pending Approval from NHL Board of Governors
An agreement is in place for Fenway Sports Group to buy a controlling stake in the Pittsburgh Penguins. Current owners Mario Lemieux and Ron Burkle will remain part of the ownership group. This sale is pending approval by the NHL Board of Governors, but will become official if that approval is received.
