Disney's Splash Mountain Gone Forever? Full Ride Video

Disney first opened Splash Mountain at Disneyland on July 17th 1989 and for many years Splash Mountain was top attraction at all of the Disney parks. Over the years there has been some scrutiny over the insensitive nature of the movie the ride is based on, and in June 2020 Disney anounced that they would be closing the ride indefinitely and rebranding it into a ride based on Disney's The Princess and the Frog. Disney has yet to begin any of these changes, however has closed down the ride for routine maintenance and cleaning. We have not heard any update as to when the final change will take place.
