Noah and Lincoln

Hello friends!  How often do you bathe your dogs?  Now that the temperatures have come down a bit, we have to bathe the boys inside the house.  We normally bathe them a little doggie bath outside when it is warm and the water isn't freezing cold.  This is probably Lincoln's third bath his year as he doesn't get dirty or smelly often.  We hope you enjoyed how good he is at bath time. :) 

This is how I bathe my 90 pound dog. 

I love most veggies but broccoli isn't one of them, so I share them with my dogs.  They are always steamed as it's better for them and it won't upset their tummies.  Noah and Lincoln always follow me around because they know I am their snack dealer.  My wife is very sneaky and always catches me when I least expect.  Do you share your veggies with your dogs?  PS. Always consult with your vets to ensure a type of food is okay to give to your dog.

Did you know today, 11/14, is National Pickle Day? Did you also know that it was created to celebrate one of the world's best fermented foods?  Today, Noah and Lincoln are tasting pickles and giving it them their best rating.  They both received a couple of small slices of pickles.  Pickles are not a part of their daily diets.  Please seek veterinary advise when feeding different foods for your pet.

In Florida, we've been getting a lot of rain so our grass is high.  But we thought we'd make it fun for our dogs to use a fire hydrant to make easier to use the potty. 

Bought a fire hydrant for our backyard to see our dogs' reactions. 

We hope you have a wonderful Happy Father's Day!! Today we celebrate our Dog Dad with a gift that keeps on giving to our dogs.  It's prank but Dog Dad did get his sound bar today.

Englewood, FL

Hello friends! We took a short weekend trip to Englewood, Florida and it was a great experience.  As you know, we have two dogs, and finding a place in Englewood wasn't hard as most AirBNB hosts were dog friendly.  We always prefer to stay at a Vrbo or AirBNB because we enjoy the quiet and larger space to that of hotels.  However, if these options are not available, we look for pet friendly hotels.  Our AirBNB was a cottage and the perfect size for us.  Right across the street was Lemon Bay, a long, narrow estuarine system, running from just south of Placida, north, almost to Venice. It is about 13 miles long and averages three-quarters-of-a-mile wide. Lemon Bay is separated from the Gulf of Mexico by two barrier islands - Little Gasparilla Island and Manasota Key. It's absolutely breathtaking. 

We took Noah and Lincoln for a walk at Lemon Bay and surrounding areas.  If you're ever on the Gulf side, make sure to stop by Englewood.  You'll enjoy the quiet, clean and fun it offers!

Noah really prefers to be a more laid back type of workout buddy.  Whereas Lincoln chooses to be motivational by being an on hands type of trainer.  Tell us how your dogs react to you working out in front of them.  We'd love to hear some of your fun stories.

Hi friends!! Welcome back!  One of the beautiful areas to visit while in Jacksonville is the downtown area, most specifically, the Riverside area.  Riverside is literally the name of the road and goes down pretty far into the city with beautiful shops, restaurants, parks and the houses are even more amazing to see, as most are of historical nature.  It runs alongside the St. Johns River.  The area we walked around is called the Sidney J Gene Riverwalk Park, normally referred to as the Riverwalk.  One of the cool things about this area is the Riverside Arts Market. It is a weekly community market hosted in Historic Riverside on Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., rain or shine.  We came during the week, so the market was not available.  However, we do plan on visiting when it is open with the boys on a day that isn't hot.  We hope you are able to visit one day!  We appreciate you taking the time to get to know Jacksonville a little better with us.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays Fam!  We hope that you are able to spend this season with family and/or friends.  If not, we are here with you to celebrate together.  We bought Noah and Lincoln some toys last month from Buckle Down Products as gifted items via a gift card. Santa found a pair of good boys in Florida and brought them many presents for Christmas! Woohoo!

Hello from the Sunshine State!  Happy Holidays!  Our normal routine after getting off from work, is going out to the yard and letting the boys rump around with their favorite Jolly Pet Balls.  These balls are a little pricey but they are durable, inflate after being punctured and easy to clean.  Noah and Lincoln get about 20-30 minutes of play time with their balls to make them last a long time.  We've had these balls for about 3 months now and still going strong. December Florida weather is warm so we went outside and played with our favorite balls!
