(ORACLE, AZ) - Many creatives become inspired by the magic of the desert. One location you can immerse yourself into that marries whimsical art and desert beauty together is at Triangle L Ranch, located in Oracle, Arizona in Pinal County. Here, imagination springs to life and is the perfect location to become inspired.

Triangle Ranch originally began in 2001 by Sharon Holnback, a mixed-media artist who purchased property and began to create art events and exhibitions in the space. The original history begins at the origin of the land, first inhabited by the native Hohokam tribe, and later by the Apache and O’odham.

Towards the late 1800s to early 1900s, Boot Ranch was formed by cattle rancher and leathersmith Charlie Moss, and later purchased by architect Westray Ladd and his wife Laura Stroud Ladd. The ranch was transformed into a tourist attraction and getaway ranch by financier William Bloodgood Trowbridge and his wife Katherine in 1924, providing a space for those interested in getting a sense of the Wild West. The previous owners, Tom and Margo Beeston, then restored parts of the ranch in the late 1970s, maintaining the guest ranch experience until the current owners created an artist-style oasis.

Triangle Ranch offers many amenities for visitors to explore. In addition to its western charm, certain elements like its classic adobe barn has evolved into a gallery space exhibiting contemporary art by local artists who install different shows throughout the year. The barn also hosts different studio amenities for artists, such as metal-working workshops and other arts and crafts workshops that artists can schedule time for. The most popular attraction, however, is their GLOW! festival which takes place every fall.

GLOW! offers an other-wordly mystical experience with glowing sculpture installations and performance art, which takes place in the evening. Visitors will discover desert landscapes illuminated by creative installations, and a captivating, vibrant scene where artists connect and celebrate the freedom of self-expression.

You can also explore their sculpture park, which includes fun and funky elements along its grounds with various art installations, tranquil labyrinths and beautiful desert landscapes, allowing guests to experience a creative space in a remote location. Many visitors such as writers, photographers, zen-inspired guests, and those wishing to immerse themselves in a tranquil environment often visit Triangle L Ranch. Guests can also spend the evening in one of their quaint private cottages, with a 2-night stay minimum.

This art ranch functions as a 501c3 nonprofit whose mission is to “inspire a deeper connection to art, nature and history,” according to their website. Their board of directors includes local artists who advance artist careers through exhibitions, stipends, residencies and workshops and maintain the creative culture of the communal space.

Events such as GLOW!, as well as the Sculpture Park, Adobe Barn Gallery, gift shop, and history museum help support their efforts to invest back into the artists who occupy the spaces and those who wish to visit. By advancing artist careers, partnering with other non-profits and engaging the public with special events, they hope to bring special attention to the beauty of the desert and connection to artistic experiences.

Nearby, guests can also explore popular desert attractions such as the Coronado National Forest, the Arizona Trail, Aravaipa Canyon near the Galiuro Mountains, Oracle State Park, and Mount Lemmon, just south of the ranch.

Visit their website here to schedule time at the ranch's quaint location or learn more about their events.
