You might have been dating someone for a while and though the two of you might care for each other and love each other, you might have one issue. You might have an issue that he or she forgets to turn the lights off when he or she is leaving a room. So, what do you do if your partner forgets to turn the lights out when leaving a room? How do you approach this type of situation? Though the answers to these questions may be different for everyone, here are a few suggestions.

1. Talk to him or her about the issue.

Discuss the issue with your partner and let your partner know how you feel about this issue. Listen to what your partner has to say about the issue and do your best to compromise on a solution.

2. Put a sign above the lights.

Place a small note by the light switches to help remind those in your home that the lights need to be turned off when the room is empty. This might help your partner form new patterns in which he or she begins turning off the lights.

3. Remind him or her.

Do your best to remind your partner why turning the lights off is important if he or she forgets. This might help him or her get into the habit of turning the lights off when leaving the room.

If you have been with someone for a while and you have an issue that he or she forgets to turn the lights out when leaving a room, then talk to him or her about this issue. Put a sign by the light switches if necessary and do your best to remind him or her when you can.
