If you are dating around and you still haven't found someone that you connect with, then you might have decided to switch up your dating game. Instead of dating what you consider your type, you might have decided to go outside of your element and explore new opportunities. So, how do you go about exploring new territories when it comes to dating? Where do you look? How do you do this? Though the answers to these questions may be different for everyone, here are a few suggestions.

1. Date someone that isn't your usual type.

Instead of always dating what you consider your type, try to be open-minded. Set-up dates with people that don't usually meet your criteria for dating. Talk to people with different background and interests and listen to what they have to say. You might just find that you have more in common than you thought.

2. Find new places to look for dates.

Don't go to the same places that you usually do when you are looking for someone to date. Try mixing it up a bit. Go somewhere new. Explore new hobbies, and try new things. You might find that in the process you meet people that you normally wouldn't doing your regular activities, and this might open up more doors for you in the dating world.

3. Try a blind date.

If you have issues finding someone that you are willing to go out with that is different from your regular type, then see if your friends can set you up on a blind date with someone that they know. This way, the person that you are going out with isn't a stranger to everyone in your close circle and you may still get the chance to get to know someone that your normally wouldn't.

Dating can be a difficult process, especially if you are used to going out with a certain type of person, but if you go outside of your comfort zone and try dating someone new, you might find that you connect better with that person. So, try to explore dating people from different backgrounds with different personalities. Try to be open-minded to meeting people with personalities that are different from yours, and go to new places to meet these people so you have a chance to meet someone that you wouldn't run into on a regular basis. You might just find the person you are looking for.
