If you have made a mistake that has impacted your life in a drastic way, you may be having trouble moving on. We all make mistakes at times, but if you are hung up on the past, you may be having trouble with focusing on the future. So, how do move on? How do you create a new future? 1. Forgive yourself.
If you have already asked forgiveness for others that were involved, then it may be time to work on forgiving yourself. If you can forgive yourself, you may be able to move forward and create a different life for yourself. Also, it may help you grow as a person.
2. Focus on the future.
Do your best to focus on the life in front of you. You may not be able to change the past, but you can change the future. Create goals and plans to achieve those goals so you can move your life in a different direction.
3. Be compassionate to others.
Remember, you may not be the only one dealing with ghosts of your pasts, so try to be understanding of those around you. Support those that are close to you when they need it and let those that need it know that they aren't alone.
