When you get serious with another person, the two of you might decide that it would be better for the both of you if you moved in together. However, after having a history with your house or apartment, how do you decide whose place to move to, and how do you go about it? Well, the answer may be different for everyone, but here are some suggestions on how to do it.

1. Pick a mutual place.

Pick a new place for both of you to move into. Doing this prevents having to choose between your apartment or house or that of your partner. It also helps, because neither of you will have history in the new place. You will be able to create new memories without any memories of past relationships getting in the way, and the two of you will be able to pick where you want to live together.

2. Decorate for both tastes.

Find items to put in your house or apartment that satisfies both your style and that of your partner. You want to make sure that both of you feel at home, so include things that you both like.

3. Discuss your needs.

Talk with your partner on how you are going to fix up the house or apartment for guests. Talk about the needs that both of you have when it comes to a dwelling and do your best to satisfy those.

Moving into a place with your significant other can be fun. Try to make sure that you incorporate both tastes into the space and find a place that both of you can share your memories in.
