1. Remember to take your shoes off.
If you are in the habit of walking around in areas where mud and dirt may stick to your shoes, then not taking your shoes off at the door might annoy your other half. To resolve this, just remember to take your shoes off when entering your house or apartment. That might save one of you from having to vacuum.
2. Wipe off the counters.
Sometimes, when we wash our hands or do something in the kitchen or bathroom, the counters get wet or dirty. Make sure you wipe off the counters, so your other half doesn't accidentally dirty his or hers.
3. Empty your pockets.
Laundry can seem like a tedious chore, but it can become even more difficult when you don't empty your pockets before putting the clothes in the laundry. Make sure that you empty your pockets, so tissues and other items don't get stuck in the wash cycle.
4. Clean up your dirty laundry.
It might seem relaxing to change your clothing and leave the old clothing wherever you are. However, it can be more efficient to put the clothing in the laundry after you are done with it. This saves one of you from having to pick up clothes piles around your house and makes it easier to get the dirty clothing into the wash.
Living with your partner may have its ups and downs, but if you try to be respectful of each other and take care of your household, it might be easier for both of you.
