Every day we are encountered by people that we don't know, and though we may have a good conversation with one or two of these individuals, there are many people that are overlooked.

1. The Cashier

When you go to the store, there is usually a cashier at the register that helps attend to your needs. This can be a difficult job. However, many cashiers are overlooked. It can be nice to say thank-you to the people that help you check out your groceries or buy your favorite sweater. These people are there day in and day out to help you.

2. The Delivery Driver

From groceries to dinner, delivery drivers are everywhere, bringing people the things that they need. However, as sometimes these drivers are just instructed to leave the packages at the door, we might forget how beneficial they are to us. If you have a chance to thank a delivery driver, do so, because without them, the delivery business wouldn't be what it is.

3. The Rideshare Driver

These days, many people use rideshare apps. This can help them with something as simple as getting a ride to the airport to having a ride to a friend or relative's house. Rideshare drivers are often overlooked, but it is because of them that we have the flexibility in finding a ride to where we need to go. Thank a rideshare driver the next time you see one.

4. Stockers

These people work to get products on the shelves at the places that we shop. Without their services, there may not be products on the floor for you to buy, so if you have the chance to thank them, feel free to do so.

5. Custodians

These workers are the ones that clean up the messes left by others. This can be a very difficult job to do, and it is an essential one. Thank a custodian.

Though many people may be overlooked in our society, the contributions that they provide for us are not. So, if you have a chance to thank someone for their work, then feel free to do so. It might just make their day.
