Thinking about pampering ourselves and those around us can be natural. However, we sometimes forget to pamper other ones in our lives like our dogs. Who doesn't want their favorite companion to have a little treat here and there? Now, it might seem difficult to think of ways to do this, but here are some ways that you might bring extra pep to Fido's step.

1. Take your dog on an extra walk.

Getting outdoors is nice once and a while, and who doesn't like a good walk? Treat your pet to a walk in an area that he or she hasn't been to yet.

2. Prepare a special meal for your dog.

Though a regular diet may be what your pet is used to, once in a while, it might be fun to mix things up. Find foods that are healthy for your pet to consume and make him or her a meal with some of his or her favorites.

3. Play an extra round of fetch.

Spur the activity in your dog by engaging in an extra game of catch. Not only will the two of you have a chance to bond more, but the exercise might be refreshing.

4. Take your dog to a dog park.

Why not give your pet a little time to socialize with other dogs? Take him or her to a dog park and allow him or her the chance to meet and greet with other dogs in the neighborhood.

5. Get your dog a new toy.

If you want to surprise your dog, then you might think about getting him or her a new toy to play with. What dog wouldn't like a surprise like that?

Our dogs are our loyal companions, and they sometimes are the only ones there to greet us when we get home. So, why not get an extra treat for your canine companion? It can be a good way to show that you care.
