The transition from being a bachelor to being in a relationship can be difficult. There might be a couple of things that were okay to do or not do when you were single that need to be addressed, and sometimes, these things can be forgotten in the process.

1. Wash your hands.

Though you might have gotten used to wandering around your pad without washing your hands after going to the restroom or taking out the trash, this is an issue that needs to be addressed. Your other half will appreciate the peach scented handwash more than the dirty handprints on the counter.

2. Cut and brush your hair.

The 'get out of bed' look is no longer in style. It is important to show that you have proper grooming habits, and, in some regards, it can be more attractive, so don't forget to clean up that hair for your girl.

3. Don't assume that you are going to go out every night.

Now, you are in a relationship, so saving money and spending time with the one you love is a priority. Don't expect to go out to the bar or club every night. Take a step back and find some activities you can do with your boo.

4. Dress to impress.

You don't have to go out and buy name brand clothing, but it is important to show that you take care of yourself, so make sure you have clean outfit and decent clothes to wear when you take your girl out on the town.

5. Use your manners.

Though sound effects can be a normal thing when you are alone, you might want to practice manners while you are spending time with your other half. Make sure to incorporate 'please' and 'thank you' into everyday conversation.

The transition from being single to having a partner may be a bit of a whirlwind, but with proper motivation and flexibility, you have the potential to show off your best self to the one you love.
