A Virginia woman’s Kindness Rocks Project blossoms to new heights by Uplift Loudoun
Uplift Loudoun shares the story of Margie Hunter who used her talents as a graphic artist to inspire her community during the pandemic. She started the “Kindness Rocks Project,” which created a beautiful rainbow of hand-painted rocks with a meaningful message along a popular walking trail. People walking by are encouraged to take a rock if they need it, share it or leave their own.

As the title says, Ed educates us on the life and career of Cora Reynolds Anderson. Reynolds Anderson was not only the first woman elected to the Michigan House of Representatives, but she was also the first Native American to hold an office in the state.
Marilyn highlights the work of Philadelphia native Alexa Dombkoski, a female business owner. Dombkoski launched Bellecento Extra Virgin Olive Oil. The cold-pressed, limited edition batch from the Tuscan countryside is available at select retailers in the Philadelphia area, and it’s a mixture of Alexa’s two worlds.

Rose spotlights Jade Soap Shop, a local and female-owned business. The business owner, Jenny Ho, started making soap as a hobby, but saw the benefits her soap was having on her sensitive skin. She launched her business in 2014 and since 2017 has also been teaching workshops in soap making.
