I've been spending a little bit too much of my free time on TikTok lately. But it helped me learn some money-saving hacks, including the unusual deals most of us are not aware of. I heard a while ago that Krispy Kreme gives out free doughnuts to students who get "A" grades, but since I'm no longer a student anymore, I didn't have a chance to test it. Well, some social media personalities are far more creative than I am, like this guy (not sponsored or affiliated) who didn't have a problem forging a report card and giving himself 6 "A"s to score free doughnuts. Guess what? He got them!
So, it is true. Krispy Kreme does have a tradition of rewarding good students and gifting them free doughnuts for each "A". The TikToker above had no shame and decided to ask for a half dozen, but I would suggest checking with the store clerk, as there might be a limit on how many treats you can get for free. It's also possible not every store participates in this tradition, which is why it's a good practice to ask beforehand.
I found more than one video of such an experiment, which reassured me this is a real thing. But I cannot guarantee this at every location as the rules may vary from state to state, city to city, and location to location.
Now, you don't have to wait for a Doughnut Day to get a free doughnut after standing in line for an hour. Just show up to KK with your report card! Or your kid's report card, maybe? Can we send our kids, nephews and younger siblings to get us free doughnuts? I would.
