If you're a New Yorker, I hope you stayed home this past Friday and preferably for a few days before that too. The city has become a victim of unprecedented flooding due to the worst rain NYC has seen since 1948. The city's sewer system got understandably overwhelmed, many streets and highways got flooded and became unusable, and lots of subway stations shut down. Brooklyn got more than other boroughs, and it was truly scary to watch videos and see photos of the flood.

The government recently reported an inflation rate of 3.2%, which was above the target rate of 2.0%, but at least it was under the 9.1% reported at last year's peak.
