Murrell Park, about 30 mins from Dallas, is very scenic and is a great spot for summer activities

Murrell Park, Flower Mound, Tx is located at the Grapevine lake, just about 30 minutes from Dallas. Murrell Park offers several outdoor activities- camping, mountain biking, fishing, boating, kayaking, picnics, dining and so much more. They allow tent only non electric camping and have shaded picnic tables. There is a restaurant in the Twin Coves area, Rockin’s bar and grill, in the middle of the lake, offering beautiful views and great food. The park is beautiful and not overcrowded most days, calm and a great place to enjoy outdoors. There is no entry fee to visit the park and $10/ night for camping.
