Highlands Ranch announces summer of symphonies

(Highlands Ranch, Colo.) Highlands Ranch seeks to expand cultural entertainment with the Summer Symphony Series, which will feature numerous genres of music by the Lone Tree Symphony Orchestra.

Jamie Noebel, Highlands Ranch Community Association director of community relations and events, is excited to bring something new to the Highlands Ranch community and believes the community will like what’s in store.

“We are delighted to bring a new form of cultural entertainment to Highlands Ranch,” Noebel said. 

“It will bring a variety of instruments and musical genres that will allow families to explore music from around the world.”

Summer Symphony Series dates

The Lone Tree Symphony Orchestra's The Funny Bones ensemble and No Strings Attached Quartet will kick off the Summer Symphony Series with a performance of various trombone arrangements of pops, jazz, and ragtime alongside the string quartet.

Guests can enjoy music from Lone Tree Symphony Orchestra's The Gossamer Winds ensemble. The Gossamer Winds quintet will perform a stargazing and astronomy-themed woodwind music setlist.

The Raul Murciano Quartet will perform Latin standards, bossa nova, tango, salsa, and Raul Murciano originals that feature the instrumental stylings of piano, violin, bass, and percussion.

Also, as part of the Lone Tree Symphony Orchestra, Cloud9Strings will play reimagined arrangements of well-known pop and rock songs as a string quartet.

The series runs from 6:30-8 p.m. May 17 through June 7 at the Southridge Recreation Center, 4800 McArthur Ranch Dr.

Tickets start at $22.
