Highlands Ranch Metro District set to elect three directors

(Highlands Ranch, Colo.) Registered voters who live or own property within the Highlands Ranch Metro District can vote in the May election.

The Metro District historically holds director elections on even-numbered years. However, state legislature changes mean that the Metro District will take part in the election on May 2 alongside Centennial Water.

Three Metro District director seats are up for election to represent the Southwest, North Central, and Northeast director regions. 

Registered voters within the Metro District may vote for candidates in any region regardless of where they live.

Candidate details

Seven candidates are running for director seats in the three regions:

  • Renee Anderson, Southwest Region
  • Andy Jones, North Central Region
  • Tammy M. Kelly, North Central Region
  • James E. Freiberg, North Central Region
  • Nancy Smith, Northeast Region
  • Homar Alvarado, Northeast Region
  • Bradford Mark Wann, Northeast Region

Election details

The Metro District's May 2023 election will be held at polling centers and through mail-in ballots. 

Polls are open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. May 2 at the John D. Hendrick Office Building, 62 Plaza Dr. in Highlands Ranch.

To request an Absentee Ballot, the Application for Absentee Ballot must be delivered by April 25.
