Parker adds over 20 acres of open space

(Parker, Colo.) Recently Shea Homes dedicated a 20.25-acre parcel of land to serve as an open space in Parker. The property is located at the southeastern corner of the Mainstreet and Chambers Road intersection.

The town recently rezoned the property to open space at the Feb.21 town council meeting. 

The rezoning preserves the property and blocks development.

In addition to dedicating the land, Shea Homes also provided funds to build a trail through the property. The new trail will complete the connection between the Cherry Creek Trail and the East-West Trail.

The construction timing of the trail is still being determined.
