(Lone Tree, Colo.) Kendra Scott’s Park Meadows Mall store will donate 20% of every sale Sunday to Denver Cat Co. and its rescue efforts.

The jewelry store made a name for itself with its affordable and fashionable jewelry while also regularly partnering with nonprofits either at a local or national level.

This weekend, the Park Meadows store will partner with Denver Cat Co., a cat cafe based in the Denver Highlands neighborhood at 3929 Tennyson St.

The cat cafe provides a cafe ambiance for guests to enjoy a beverage, play games, read, and socialize while enjoying the presence of free-roaming and fully adoptable cats.

Denver Cat Co. Owner Leila Qari said the cafe has one of the highest adoption rates in the state because of its unique ability to introduce adoptable cats to potential adopters. There are about 20 cats at a time in the cafe, plus another 30 in foster care. Qari feels grateful to help ease the stress of overcrowded shelters to partner kitties with their forever homes.

“I want to emphasize how privileged I feel to do the work we do and how proud I am to have an immigrant- and female-run business. I love to have that representation in the mix,” she said. “I'm so proud we made it through a pandemic, I’m grateful to do the work, and I'm proud of my team.”

To support Denver Cat Co., stop by Kendra Scott during the give-back event, enjoy a visit to the cafe during regular hours, or join in on one of its many events like bingo, tarot card reading, or ceramic painting night.

Kendra Scott’s give-back event is from 4-6 p.m. on Jan. 22 at the Park Meadows Mall, 8505 Park Meadows Center Dr.

Additionally, guests make purchases online all-day on Jan. 22 using the code GIVEBACK-DLIWQ, and 20% of each sale will go to the cat cafe.
