6 things to do in Castle Rock this Christmas season

(Castle Rock, Colo.) Castle Rock has a full line-up of events to get guests in the holiday spirit. From toy drives to holiday horse yoga, here are six Christmas events to enjoy from Dec. 3 to 10:

Santa’s Big Day

10 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 3 at the Outlets at Castle Rock, 5050 Factory Shops Blvd.

Join Jolly Old Saint Nick on a day full of holiday cheer. Activities include a pancake breakfast, caroling, ice skating performances, holiday character meet and greets, a Castle View High School Band performance, and more. 

This event is free to attend.

Reindeer Games

1-4 p.m. Dec. 3 at Philip S. Miller Park, 1375 West Plum Creek Pkwy. 

The whole family is invited to enjoy the Reindeer Games. This winter-themed wonderland includes live reindeer, Santa Claus, s'mores, hot chocolate, sleigh rides, train rides, outdoor games, and an obstacle course. Kids will receive a prize at the end of the obstacle course while supplies last.

This event is free to attend.

Holiday Horse Yoga

5:30-6:30 p.m. Dec.9 at Sky View Farm, 1705 Outter Marker Rd. 

Start the holidays with a clearer mind and a serotonin release with a yoga session alongside therapy horses. The event also includes refreshments and adult beverages.

Reservations are required and cost $26 to attend.

14th Annual Holiday Toy Drive and Rally

​​10 a.m.-8 p.m. Nov.11- Dec. 9 at The Outlets, 5050 Factory Shops Blvd.

The Outlets present the 14th Annual Holiday Toy Drive and Rally for Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children. Guests are encouraged to drop off unwrapped gifts at the Outlets in the customer service area inside the food court. 

On Dec. 10, Santa Claus and local law enforcement will caravan to the Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children and deliver carloads of toys to patients just in time for Christmas.

Toys for Tots at 105 West Brewing

1-4 p.m. Dec. 10 at 105 West Brewing, 1043 Park St.

All afternoon at 105 West Brewing, visitors are welcome to stop by for a pint and donate unwrapped toys to the Toys For Tots fund. The toys will then go to children within income-restricted families.

Storytellers and S'mores

5-7 p.m. Dec. 10 at Festival Park, 300 Second St.

Santa Claus will make a stop at Festival Park to read holiday favorites. Families can then enjoy roasting marshmallows, making s’mores, sipping hot chocolate, and other family-friendly fun.
